Setup PureBox on Android
On Android, the easiest way to use PureBox for the whole phone is a setting called Private DNS. Turn it on once, and you are done—no extra apps required.
When your phone asks what to use, type this exactly (copy and paste is fine):
dns-us.purebox.app
Pixel and most other phones
- Open Settings.
- Tap Network & internet. On some phones the same idea is under Connections or Wi‑Fi & network.
- Tap Private DNS. If you do not see it, look under Advanced, or use the search bar at the top of Settings and type Private DNS.
- Choose Private DNS provider hostname (not “Off” or “Automatic”). A box appears where you can type.
-
Enter
dns-us.purebox.app, then save if you are asked to, or simply go back. It should take effect right away.
Samsung Galaxy
- Open Settings.
- Tap Connections, then More connection settings (sometimes Other connection settings).
- Tap Private DNS.
-
Choose Private DNS provider hostname,
type
dns-us.purebox.app, then save or confirm.
Menus differ a bit by phone brand. If these paths do not match yours,
open Settings, search for Private DNS,
and enter dns-us.purebox.app when you are prompted.
