Setup PureBox on iPhone or iPad
On an iPhone or iPad, the smoothest way to use PureBox for the whole device is a small setup file from Apple called a profile. Install it once in the Settings app, and your device routes website lookups through PureBox automatically on Wi‑Fi and cellular when your device uses them.
Use the built-in Safari browser for the download step. That is what Apple expects for profiles, and it avoids odd behavior you sometimes see in other browsers.
Only install profiles from people and sites you trust. This file is offered here on purebox.app so you know where it came from.
Download the profile
- On your iPhone or iPad, open Safari.
- Go to this setup page again if you need to, or tap Download PureBox profile above. Safari may ask you to allow the download—tap Allow or Download if you see that.
- When the download finishes, look for a notice that a profile is ready. You do not have to hunt for the file in a folder; the next section starts from the Settings app.
Install the profile in Settings
Apple removes a downloaded profile if it sits uninstalled for about eight minutes, so it helps to do these steps right after you tap download. You can only have one profile waiting at a time; if you recently downloaded something else for work or school, finish or clear that first.
- Open the Settings app.
- Near the top, tap Profile Downloaded. (It can also read like Enroll in … followed by a name—same idea.)
- Read the short summary if you like, then tap Install in the upper-right corner.
- Enter your passcode if your device asks. You may see a few extra confirmation screens; keep confirming until it says the profile is installed.
If you use Stolen Device Protection
On newer iPhones, Apple has a security feature called Stolen Device Protection. When it is on and you are not in a familiar place (like home or work), your device may block profile installs until you turn that feature off, install the PureBox profile, then turn Stolen Device Protection back on. If you never see those words in Settings (common on iPad), skip this section. If you are at home and still get stuck, check Settings → Face ID & Passcode (or Touch ID & Passcode) → Stolen Device Protection.
If you do not see “Profile Downloaded”
- Try the download again in Safari, then open Settings within a few minutes.
- In Settings, tap General, then VPN & Device Management (on older iOS versions it may say Profiles & Device Management). See if the PureBox item appears there.
- If you waited too long, the file may have been removed automatically; download again and go straight to Settings.
